Oil Paintings

Sweet Apples (children within) . Collection of oil paintings on wood panels invites viewers to contemplate the duality of childhood innocence and the complexity of human emotion. Each portrait depicts a child holding an apple—whether ripe, golden, bruised, or decaying—serving as a metaphor for the sweetness, vulnerability, and imperfection within us all. The collection explores how inner emotions, often concealed, can be made visible through symbolic gestures and the timeless imagery of the apple.

Illusion

 9x12 inches        22.86x30 cm

At first glance, “Illusion” charms us with whimsy: a lush green apple, a unicorn mask—an icon of innocence, magic, and myth. But linger, and the surface begins to shift.

This is a portrait of deception—not malicious, but necessary. Like the illusions we construct to survive, to enchant, or to hide. The figure stands between fantasy and reality, asking us: What part of what we see is truth, and what is merely the beautiful lie?

“Illusion” speaks to those who understand that behind beauty often lies complexity, and that the masks we wear can be both protection and prison.

The Tempest

 9x12 inches        22.86x30 cm

Like Shakespeare's The Tempest,  I have my own tale of exile, magic, and renewal. This painting, bearing the same title, echoes that journey—a lone soul navigating an unfamiliar land, suspended between displacement and discovery. At its heart lies a red apple, vibrant and untouched. More than mere fruit, it is a symbol of resilience: the promise that even in lands not our own, something nourishing awaits.

There's a quiet tension—like the calm before a storm. There is struggle here, yes—but also hope.

Holdinng On

 9x12 inches        22.86x30 cm

There’s a quiet ache in waiting — the kind that lingers long after the moment is gone. A nearly eaten apple rests in fragile balance, its absence speaking louder than its presence. Beside it, a girl cries silently, her tears not loud but heavy, as if mourning something slipping away slowly. This painting is about what we try to keep — the love, the time, the version of ourselves — even as it disappears bite by bite.

There's a fragile space between still having and already losing. It's about the slow unraveling of something once whole, and the human impulse to cling to what’s left, even as it fades.

Over

 9x12 inches        22.86x30 cm

What remains when something is gone? The apple is almost entirely consumed — a soft echo of what once was.

He doesn’t wail. He sits in silence, tears slipping down without protest, as if he knows there’s no undoing what’s been done.

This painting speaks to the quiet weight of loss — not the dramatic end, but the slow, inevitable vanishing of something cherished. It’s the moment after holding on, when there’s nothing left to grasp. The sorrow here is still, but deep. It asks: when it’s over, what part of it stays with us?

Lucie

Her subtle smile and sideways glance suggest a quiet anticipation — a moment suspended in time. The apple, fresh and bright, becomes the heart of the narrative: a symbol of promise, potential, and the quiet thrill of something wonderful just on the horizon.

Unlike the traditional associations of the apple as temptation or knowledge, here it embodies hope. It is untouched, glowing, and full of life — much like the girl herself, whose posture and expression reflect a calm certainty that something meaningful is about to unfold.Set against a warm gradient background, the figure seems to glow from within, enhancing the dreamlike quality of the work.

This painting is a quiet ode to expectancy, joy, and the small, radiant moments that precede transformation.

hunger or greed.jpg

Gluttony

 9x12 inches        22.86x30 cm

Sometimes innocence is stained by appetite that sinks its teeth into a green apple—gripping it not with reverence, but possession. This is not a bite of need, but of want. The apple glows with seductive vitality, a symbol not of nourishment, but of conquest.

This is a portrait of hunger unmoored from purpose—desire that consumes not just things, but people.  Once the apple is devoured, what’s next? or who will be discarded next? In on our culture of use and abandonment this is a meditation on appetite.

She radiates quiet strength—arm outstretched, apple in hand, gaze forward. The apple, already bitten, speaks of battles fought and survived. This is not a moment of innocence lost, but of wisdom gained. Set against a backdrop of wild forest and brooding sky, Olga stands luminous: a beacon of life, of presence, of continuation. Olga is not a victim, but a warrior—one who has faced trouble and emerged transformed. Her eyes are bright with defiance and curiosity. Her posture is proud. This is a testimony. A painting that honors those who endure, who inspire, who remind us that life, even when scarred, is worth lifting up for all to see.

It's your choice

 9x12 inches        22.86x30 cm

This is a portrait of quiet reflection—perhaps on a choice made too soon, a trust misplaced, or a sweetness that didn’t last. However, there's no shame on vulnerability and making mistakes.

Do not cast it away, nor raise it in triumph—only hold it, as we cradle the echoes of our past. For it is often the gentlest ache that etches the deepest line. And still, we are called to learn, to rise, and to begin again.

The trickster

Nothing is quite what it seems.

The serene forest hides both play and tension. This is a portrait of cunning: of the masks we wear and the roles we play when we wish to outsmart, to seduce.

The trickster is not simply a liar, but a shape-shifter, a survivor—one who lives by reading the hidden rules and rewriting them. There’s charm in the gaze, but also warning. Play along… but don’t be fooled.

Time

The truth lies quietly on her chest: a green apple, once full of promise, now bruised and collapsing under its own weight. Time has touched it, and changed it.

This is not a painting of despair—it is a portrait of process. The fallen leaves whisper of seasons passed. The apple decays, but in that decay there is honesty, even healing. No feeling, no wound, no truth remains unchanged. Sometimes, only time can reveal what was hidden. Sometimes, only time can soften what once felt unbearable.
