Serene, Nature-Inspired Artwork

Explore serene artwork that speaks to the soul

My story

My name's Anna and I’m a Highly Sensitive Person — the quiet, watchful child who sits in the corner, drawing what her inner world reveals to her, while the noise of the outside world hums all around.

While most kids in Catalonia were dreaming of practical careers, I was busy sketching Gelflings—those otherworldly beings from The Dark Crystal (1982). That early fascination with magical creatures and misty forests never left me. Even while studying English literature, I found myself scribbling winged beings in the margins, drawn to the power of storytelling and the mysterious imagery of the North.

Eventually, I followed the whispers of the fairies straight into art school. I trained in illustration at Llotja Art and Design School in Barcelona, where I began building a visual language rooted in symbolic elements of nature, peace and stillness, touches of magic, and characters that seem to have stepped out of a fairy tale. Since then, I’ve illustrated two books and contributed to various multidisciplinary exhibitions and creative projects with fellow artists and kindred spirits.

After time abroad and certification in art therapy, I had the privilege of collaborating with the Canadian Art Therapy Association (CATA). Now back in Spain, I’m finally settling into the rhythm I’ve long yearned for: painting the kind of soulful, symbolic artwork that once lived only in my imagination. My studio is open, my brush is steady, and I’m here to create the pieces that speak to both my story and yours.

Illustration remains a vital part of my creative life—not as a separate pursuit, but as another way to explore tenderness, quietness, and imagination. Whether I’m drawing a little creature or a scene that feels like a memory, I’m always reaching for that same sense of emotional resonance. My illustrations allow me to tell small, intimate stories—often wordless, but full of feeling—and they continue to nourish the narrative spirit that first drew me to art.
